Winter Newsletter ~ Janaury 2008

What a difference another year of hard work and dedication has made for me in the pole vault. Within the last 2 years, I have improved my personal record by 27 inches, from 12′6″ to 14′9″. As I gear up for another season, my eyes are already on the prize of jumping even higher heights. Not only am I aiming to join the 15′ club, but also to be in the top 3 at the Olympic Trials this July to seal a spot on the 2008 Olympic Team.
Highlights from the 2007 season…
~ Qualified to the 2008 Olympic Trials
~ Ranked 8th in the US, Ranked 39th in the world
~ August 2007, NAPVA Grand Prix Champion
~ June 2007, Placed 9th at the USA Outdoor Championships
~ May 2007, new personal record of 14’9 / 4.50m
~ March 2007, new personal record of 14’5.25 / 4.40m
~ Qualified for USA Outdoor Championships in Indianapolis, IN
~ February 2007, new personal record of 14’1.25 / 4.30
~ February 2007, 6th at the USA Indoor Championships
