Andree’ Pickens
Aspiring for the Perfect Vault!
Winter Issue, December 2006, Volume1

In a Years Time
What a difference a year has made. I came to Jonesboro in August of 2005 with a meet personal record of 12’6″. Within a year’s time I have improved my mark by 18 inches. WOW! I finished the season with and Indoor personal record of 14’ and an Outdoor personal record of 13’9″. As I gear up for next season, my eyes are already set on jumping even higher heights. I am striving to add another foot to my personal record by this time next year, to join the 15’ club, as I prepare for the 2008 Olympic Trails and Olympic Games.

Highlights of the 2006 season…
~ Qualified for USA Outdoor Championships in Indianapolis, IN
~ Placed 5th a Drake Relays in Des Moines, IA
~ Placed 8th at the USA Indoor Championships in Boston, MA

A Note of Thanks
A note of thanks to everyone who has supported me throughout this year, and my journey through life. My achievements would not have been possible without YOU! As the journey continues, your words of encouragement and prayers are needed more than ever.

Upcoming Indoor Season
I opened up this season on December 1, 2006 with a pre-season competition at Arkansas State’s Kickoff Klassic, clearing 13-8. The season will officially get underway in January and continue through February, as I travel to Kentucky, Nevada, Indiana, Arkansas and Massachusetts this indoor season.

Come out and enjoy the thrill of competition as I compete to better my personal record and stand by my motto: Aspiring for the Perfect Jump!

Be a Sponsor
Share in the dream and become a sponsor today! Sponsor at the Bronze Medalist Level, Silver Medalist Level, the Gold Medalist Level, and the Olympic Dream Level. All contributions assist with expenses incurred from training, equipment purchases, and travel. Hopefully, you will embark on this journey with me and embrace this opportunity of a lifetime to support a dream that is already on track to become a reality. My dream is my will to success!
